What to expect in processing your application?
5 EASY STEPS TO ACCESS URGENT HOUSING
1. Submit your pre-application form (including your government ID)
- We accept Drivers license, a copy of the (front and back), passport, Kiwi access card, birth certificate, communities service card, Work and Income (steps to freedom no.1 letter).
2. Approved applicants will receive an email with the following documents to sign and return to info@nzeh.co.nz
- RTA (Boarding House Tenancy Agreement)
- House Rules
- Chattels List
- Fire evacuation plan
- Work and Income (Redirection of benefit payment form)
- Work and Income (Agent form)
3. Book a phone appointment - Between 10am - 4pm (Mon - Fri) with our friendly and experienced agents to discuss finalising your application.
Every case is assessed accordingly and we may be able to assist in requesting the following basic necessities on your behalf from Work and Income.
- Food
- Phone
- Transportation: Petrol or hop card
- Clothing
- Furniture and appliances
4. Book a face to face appointment at your nearest Ministry of Social Development office or call MSD contact centre on 0800 559 009 - Between 10am - 4pm (Mon - Fri) with our friendly and experienced agents to finalise your application.
5. Receive check-in Instructions and your keys onsite.
